Call for Researchers
Join the Digital Forensics & Security Lab (DFSLab) and shape the future of cybersecurity.
Welcome to DFSLab
The Digital Forensics & Security Laboratory (DFSLab), led by Professor Jiho Shin at Mokwon University, conducts research in digital forensics with an expanding focus on cyber security.
The laboratory focuses on system-level analysis of digital data from databases, memory, file systems, and cloud platforms, with particular emphasis on data recovery and the structural interpretation of digital evidence.
Our goal is to develop reliable forensic analysis and digital evidence validation techniques that support cybercrime investigations while contributing to broader cyber security applications.
Who We Are Looking For
- Graduate Students (M.S./Ph.D. tracks)
- Undergraduate Students
Our lab focuses on cutting-edge research in digital/cyber forensics, cloud forensics, and cybercrime investigation paradigms. We are looking for passionate student researchers who are eager to become top-tier experts under the mentorship of a professor with extensive real-world experience and academic expertise.
What You Get
- Research project experience: Take part in the lab's national and public-agency research projects and work on real investigative problems.
